Dear Community:

We have arrived at the end of the first half of 2021. We have come so far in the past 18 months! In partnership with our Faculty, we seamlessly transitioned to virtual courses, developing and teaching Mastering Tough Conversations and Faculty Development courses R1 and R2. The courses got RAVE reviews and our demand has never been higher! The VitalTalk Board of Directors and staff will now be turning our focus to determining what learning delivery models make the most sense to maintain high quality professional development and continue to reach more practitioners. None of this could have happened without our Faculty’s drive for excellence and teamwork.

Join us in wishing farewell to our CEO, Kendra Mirasol, who’s last day is Friday, July 30. Over the last year and a half, Kendra led the necessary pivot to virtual learning, further developed the staff, and brought on additional board members to continue the transition from a founder led organization. On Friday,

“I am honored to have led the team through these unique times and am forever grateful to the Founders, Bob, James and Tony, for allowing me to serve the VitalTalk community. The team has demonstrated resilience along with a sense of humor as we pivoted successfully through the pandemic. I am proud of their development as subject matter experts and leaders. I remain passionate about the mission and will continue to serve as a VitalTalk advocate,” states Kendra.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Lynsey Seabrook, a VitalTalk Board Member and current Co-Chair, will immediately step in as Interim CEO. Lynsey has led the Board’s strategic efforts and will shepherd the organization’s next phase of planning. Lynsey has a clinical background in mental health and a robust history in executive leadership, scaling organizations, and capacity building. Prior to this role, Dr. Seabrook served as the CEO of a large-scale organization in the field of education, where she led an organization that developed, published, and disseminated research proven programs in partnership with Johns Hopkins University.  Lynsey and Kendra have worked closely together for the month of July, and Kendra will be available for additional contractual work as necessary after she steps down July 30.

We are so proud of what has been done in the past year and a half! Please share your thoughts and concerns with us as we guide the transition. We will be hosting faculty conversations over the summer to discuss the organization’s needs as we search for a new permanent CEO.

Best regards,
The VitalTalk Board
